The children’s village works hard to be as self sustaining as we can. Each house has its own garden to supplement veggies as well as teach the kids how to grow their own food for the future. Pictured is Tadiwa and Alfred helping water the tomatoes. Education is a big priority for us at the children’s village. We strive to give our kids the best start and we know a solid education is part of that.

March 28, 2022 was an exciting day at Pemberton Station! The first school block was dedicated in memory of John Kurehwa, the "blind preacher" who had the vision for the Gutu land, saving it for HVCM's use. There was much rejoicing and excitement for what is next to come at Pemberton Station! Zebedee Togarepi's final request to family and friends was that his body be transported back to Zimbabwe and buried at the small village of Benzi where he grew up. Thank you to all our generous supporters who helped make this possible. Zebedee's final request was fulfilled.
