In January, HVCM launched an evangelistic campaign called Goho re Churu, which in Shona means the Harvest of a Thousand Souls. Under the leadership of our Evangelism Manager, Alone Gudyanga, we began multiple revivals within our schools and churches calling on young and old alike to repent and come to Jesus for salvation. We purchased a big tent, a generator and new sound equipment.
With the help of our friends from IDES (International Disaster Emergency Service) we also provided nearly half a million food packets. All of this was accompanied by hard work, prayer meetings, calling, teaching, promoting, singing and good Gospel preaching. The result is revival within our churches and schools. To date we have seen 583 souls won to Christ this year! For that we praise God! Check out more of the story in our Summer 2022 Newsletter below. ![]()
We had a great couple of days during our College Days conference for over 400 Living Proof high school students!
Students enjoyed worship, fellowship and fun while checking out the college campus. And most exciting of all… 39 students decided to give their life to Christ and will soon be baptized! Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful event possible. ![]()
"I don’t often get to post photos of the children’s village for the sake of the kid’s privacy, but then I saw no one was looking at the camera. Working at a children’s village, we get to see the worst of humanity in all the kids trauma. But I also get to see the beauty of so many peoples generosity towards the kids. So many people give and donate and have a heart for Chiredzi Christian Children’s Village. It’s a beautiful thing to be witness to. Feel free to ask me how you can be involved and what the needs are at Chiredzi Christian Children’s Village."
-Meghan Burbidge The children’s village works hard to be as self sustaining as we can. Each house has its own garden to supplement veggies as well as teach the kids how to grow their own food for the future. Pictured is Tadiwa and Alfred helping water the tomatoes. Education is a big priority for us at the children’s village. We strive to give our kids the best start and we know a solid education is part of that.

March 28, 2022 was an exciting day at Pemberton Station! The first school block was dedicated in memory of John Kurehwa, the "blind preacher" who had the vision for the Gutu land, saving it for HVCM's use. There was much rejoicing and excitement for what is next to come at Pemberton Station! |
